JR Construction built its first "green" home in 2008 - it was nationally recognized by the NAHB and it was the first Emerald certified home in Michigan. We utilize advanced framing techniques when we build every home. Our goal is not only for you to have an efficient home to save on energy usage but for you to have a comfortable home.

 

We believe that the "bones" of the building are just as important as the finish and trim. That's why OUR crew frames and finishes all of our projects. The Michigan building code now requires a Blower Door Test to be completed on all finished projects prior to issuing occupancy. We have been testing our homes for over 10 years - our homes are built "tight". This minimizes air leakage and practically eliminates the entry for pests. Your comfort is important to us.
